Nothing beats the tempting smell of Apples & Cinnamon, this is so delicious you won't be able to leave it alone! And while these 2 ingredients are completely different when they are apart, together they are their own distinct flavor - Apple Cinnamon! Just speaking that the word brings to mind the combo of cozy, warm spice and tender sweet apples.
A deliciously easy dessert, this soft & tender Apple Cinnamon Cake has a moist crumb and is strong in cinnamon flavor. Simple to make, easy to enjoy, and flavored with a classic combination of sweetness and spice. It's everything nice!
So here goes the recipe of this delectable cake!
Ingredients
Wheat Flour: 2 Cups (or All purpose Flour, I use wheat flour as it's healthier)
Canola Oil: 1 Cup
Eggs: 4
Powdered Sugar: 1 Cup
Baking Powder: 1.5 tsp
Milk: 1/2 Cup
Apples - 1
Cinnamon Powder - 2 tsp
Procedure
1. Mix the dry ingredients together - Wheat Flour, Baking Powder & Cinnamon Powder. Make sure to pass the cinnamon powder through a sieve to separate the coarse particles.
2. Mix oil & sugar well till it forms a thick sauce like consistency.
3. Beat the eggs till they are fluffy.
4. Mix all ingredients together one by one and make sure you are folding the batter only on one side.
5. Add milk to make the batter smoother.
6. Add 1/2 apple (peeled & chopped into small cubes) into the batter and keep on folding till the batter is well made.
7. Pre-heat the oven for 2 minutes.
8. Grease the baking dish with oil and pour the batter over the dish.
9. Place apple slices on the top in a pattern you like and sprinkle cinnamon powder through a sieve to cover the apples.
10. Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees (convection). You may do a toothpick test to check if the cake is done or not.
11. Leave it to stand for 5 -10 minutes, then turn out on a plate.
The cake is ready!
Enjoy it with a hot cuppa tea/coffee. I like mine a little warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream :-)
