Baby friendly Banana Wheat Cake

Hello People!

Been away for a while.. Was stuck with the  motherly activities & office work.
Well, none of that can take away my love for cooking, which serves as an ultimate stress buster for me :-)

So this time I'm sharing with you the recipe for a Baby friendly Banana wheat cake. My little one loves cakes, so much so, that every time we cut one - she starts singing the 'Happy birthday to you' song!

But when we bake for these little munchies, we have to be sure of ingredients - for me it was strictly no sugar & no baking flour(maida).

Now bananas are ideal for babies. Some health benefits of bananas include easy on stomach, controls diarrhea, treats constipation, helps reduce skin inflammation and improves urinary disorders.

Here goes the recipe!

(The measuring cup is a standard mini bowl size)

Wheat flour : 1 measuring cup
Oats flour : 2 tsp
Canola Oil/ Unsalted butter : 1/2 measuring cup
Baking Powder : 1 tsp
Eggs : 2
Milk : 4 tsp
Banana : 1 ripe

Procedure:

1. Preheat the oven for 2 minutes

2. Mix the dry ingredients - wheat flour, oats flour & baking powder together
3. Beat the eggs till they are fluffy

5. Mash the banana and add to the mixture. Make sure you fold the mixture only on one side.
6. Add milk to create a smooth batter
7. Grease the baking dish with oil & pour the batter over the dish
8. Bake it for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees (convection)
9. Let it cool down for some time, then turn onto a plate.

Elders who have diabetes can also enjoy the goodness of the cake.

Well, while my little one loved the cake, we enjoyed it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream :-)

The Healthy Beetroot Carrot Cake

Sounds really healthy? What if I tell you it was high on taste as well? Well you may not agree especially when it has beetroot & carrot! Deep, earthy flavour and whole lot of crunch, but what I love most about beetroot is the incredible colour that can transform anything shocking pink The overwhelmingly vibrant hue makes it one of the most bossy vegetables that can completely take over your dish. But that's when you need to know how to maintain that balance! With strong health credentials to its advantage, beetroot helps in detoxifying, is low in fat & calories, helps lower blood pressure and it a great source of fiber and minerals like iron, potassium and manganese which are essential for good health.                                                                  Carrots on the other hand are another root vegetable which have a beautiful orange color and full of a host of impressive health benefits - rich in Vitamin A, beautiful skin, cancer-preventio
