It is a very delicate, creamy and rich dessert, which is very popular across European countries and is an integral part of full course meals. A smooth, silky, velvety dessert, which will want you eating more!

There are many variants and flavors to this recipe, but this post dedicates to the basic version of the Caramel Custard Cake. Follow these easy steps and you are sure to wow everyone :-)

Water :1/2 cup
Bread : 4 slices

Procedure:

1. To make the caramel, add the sugar & water in a non - stick pan and stir it well till it becomes brown in color. Make sure that you do not burn it, so stirring it continuously helps.

3. Mix the Custard Powder and water well keep aside.

4. Cut the bread into small pieces and grind it into fine powder.

5. In a pan, heat the Milk & Sugar on medium flame. Keep stirring well and add the custard powder & water mix to it. Keep stirring till it becomes a little thick, like custard.

6. Keep adding the bread powder slowly into the Milk, while stirring it continuously to ensure it does not form any lumps.

7. Once the batter is ready, pour it over the caramel into the tin and set it well. Even the top layer. tap the dish to remove air bubbles if any.

8. Cover the tin with aluminium foil & prick the sheet with tooth pick at 4-5 places.

9. Now it's time to steam the batter. In a pressure cooker, add water, place a stand and put the covered tin over it. Let us steam for 20-30 minutes.

10. Let it cool down to room temperature and then put it in the refrigerator (not freezer) for 2 hours.

11. Finally, remove the caramel custard cake from the mould and place it upside down.

Deep, earthy flavour and whole lot of crunch, but what I love most about beetroot is the incredible colour that can transform anything shocking pink The overwhelmingly vibrant hue makes it one of the most bossy vegetables that can completely take over your dish. But that's when you need to know how to maintain that balance! With strong health credentials to its advantage, beetroot helps in detoxifying, is low in fat & calories, helps lower blood pressure and it a great source of fiber and minerals like iron, potassium and manganese which are essential for good health.                                                                  Carrots on the other hand are another root vegetable which have a beautiful orange color and full of a host of impressive health benefits - rich in Vitamin A, beautiful skin, cancer-preventio
