Watermelon Popsicle

When temperatures are rising, a chilled Popsicle is the best way to beat the summer heat! And what can be healthier than the seasonal fruit - Watermelon to do that! Watermelon is a nutrient dense food which provides high amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants for a low amount of calories. It's refreshing quality & sweet taste helps to combat the heat and also provide a guilt free, low maintenance dessert for kids and adults to enjoy alike! Coming back to the Watermelon Popsicle recipe, it is much healthier and tastier than the lick lollies sold by ice cream vendors. Ingredients 10 cubes of Watermelon Juice of 1 lemon 1 tsp Honey 1 tsp Chaat Masala (I used homemade) Recipe 1.Simply puree' all the ingredients together in a blender and pour them in molds. 2. Leave to set for 6-8 hours in the freezer and its ready! Enjoy chilled :-)

Quick Cold Coffee

Most folks know how to make Cold Coffee - an all time hit cold beverage for hot summers! In this post, I'm sharing the way I make cold coffee - with a frothy layer on top. While preparing any coffee beverage, usually a concoction of coffee, water & sugar is created by beating with a spoon till it becomes light & frothy. But since I'm on 'Quick & easy' mode these days, I've used a blender to do this job for me. Serves 1 Ingredients: 1 glass milk 1 tsp instant coffee powder 1 & 1/2 tsp sugar 5-6 ice cubes Chocolate syrup Recipe: 1. Blend all the ingredients except ice cubes until they are mixed well. 2. Now add ice cubes & blend for a minute, until frothy. 3. Serve is a tall glass & pour some chocolate sauce on the top. To turn cold coffee into a dessert, serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce/shaved chocolate. Enjoy your home-made iced cappuccino :-)

A good Butter chicken dish with Garlic Naan or Pudina Parantha is my all time favorite comfort food. However for some, if they really love butter chicken but steer clear thanks to its calorie content, this recipe is for you! It is not 'rich' but is yummy and quick to make. It has all the flavors that both your taste-buds, and waistline will love :-). It is my family's favorite recipe where they get flavors of butter chicken, without any butter! So enjoy! Ingredients: Chicken - 400gm Onions - 3 big Tomatoes - 3 big Ginger - A small piece Garlic - 4-5 kernels Cinnamon sticks - 2 Cloves/ Laung - 3 Big Cardamon - 1 Dried Fenugreek Leaves/ Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp Cumin seeds - roasted & powdered 1 tsp Salt - as per taste Black pepper - as per taste Milk - 1/4th cup Fresh Cream - 1 small tsp - for garnish Coriander l
